  • Elio Ribeiro Faria Junior

    PhD Student

    Degree in Information Systems from University of Contestado (2013), specialization in Software Engineering from PUCPR (2015) and Master in Applied Informatics from PUCPR (2019). He is currently a doctoral student in Information Systems – School of Sciences, Arts and Humanities at the University of São Paulo (EACH-USP). He works as a professor in the field of computing at the University Center of União da Vitória (UNIUV) and at the Technical College of União da Vitória (Coltec). He has interest in the following topics: Software Agents and Multiagent Systems, Process Mining, Data Mining, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

  • Ana Rocío Cárdenas Maita

    She is a PhD student in Information Systems at University of São Paulo, Brazil. Master of Information Systems (2015) at University of São Paulo; Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering  (2011) at the Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco, Peru. She worked as an assistant professor at the Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco (2017-2019). She has experience as software developer for the banking and tourism context.

    Thais Rodrigues Neubauer is a PhD student in information systems at the University of Sao Paulo. She has a bachelor’s (2017) and a master’s (2020) degree in information systems with emphasis in intelligence of systems from University of Sao Paulo. She is a certified professional by Celonis (Analyst and Data Engineer). She worked as assistant professor of Artificial Intelligence at FIAP academic center (2020-2021, Sao Paulo, Brazil), as data engineer in the credit bureau Serasa Experian (2017-2018, Sao Paulo, Brazil) and as data scientist in the company The Next Web (2015-2016, Netherlands).  Her main research interests are computational intelligence, data mining and machine learning applied to text mining and process mining.


  • Thanner Soares Silva

    Degree in Information Systems from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Espírito Santo (2016) and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2019). He has interest in business process management (BPM), process mining and deep learning. He has experience in the Computer Science field, with emphasis on Information Systems.

  • Antonio Carlos Meira Neto

    Master student in Information Systems at University of São Paulo, Brazil , and Bachelor’s in Information Systems (2015) at University of São Paulo (EACH-USP), Brazil. He has 6+ years of professional experience in analytics projects, and is currently employed as a data scientist at Itaú Unibanco. His main research interests are process mining, data mining and machine learning.


  • Rafael Gaspar de Sousa

    He is a master student in Information Systems at University of São Paulo, Brazil. Bachelor’s in Information Systems (2017) at University of São Paulo (EACH-USP), Brazil. He is currently employed as a data scientist at Itaú Unibanco and his main research interests are computational intelligence, data mining, process mining and machine learning.


  • Esther Rojas

    Master student

    She is a master student in Information Systems at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bachelor’s in Information Systems (2013), at Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University, Perú. She did a research internship for six months at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). During that internship, she worked in her undergraduate work entitled “Developing an Intelligent System for Automatic Facial Expression Recognition” using neural networks. Also, she did a research internship at the Artificial Intelligence Group (GriA-USP), in the process mining field. Currently, she is working on anomaly detection in event logs of business process (process mining).  Her main research interests are process mining, anomaly detection,  data mining, facial expression recognition.


  • José Francisco dos Santos Neto

    Master student in Information Systems at the University of São Paulo. Bachelor’s in Information Systems (2019) at the University of São Paulo. Belongs to the Artificial Intelligence Group of the University of São Paulo (GrIA), where he researches process mining. He belongs to the Research Group in Concept Maps (GPMC), where he researches structural analisys of Concept Maps and the use of Concept Maps as a tool for learning and instruction.

  • Rodrigo Tavares Coimbra

    Master Student

    Bachelor of Information Systems at the Federal University of Lavras – MG. He is currently a master’s student at PPgSI EACH-USP, under the guidance of Prof. Sarajane Marques Peres. His main research interests are process mining, process discovery and genetic algorithms.
